As far as i can remember, my favourite movie genre has been horror.

The first one i watched was probably Scream when i was around 9 years old with my sister, it was the only tape we had in our vacation house lost in the mountains and we would get bored easily so we watched it over and over again. I’ve loved every sequel, especially Scream 4. To me, Wes Craven was the absolute master directing those kind of horror movies, a bit scary but also really interesting and funny. He directed 3 out of the 10 movies i’m talking about today. #fangirling

In my teenage years, i reached the climax of horror obsession, i was watching almost only this genre. Then i calmed down, and suddenly i was a real chicken, now i’m quite scared watching anything, even American Horror Story or things like that… I don’t know what happened to me! But i still like them a lot. However i find it harder and harder to find really good movies, the number of insanely bad ones is quite astonishing.

I present you my ten favourite horror movies, with some cheating: one is a kid movie that i find terrifying looking back, and two are more thriller than horror.

Scream / A Nightmare on Elm Street / The Hill Have Eyes / We need to talk about Kevin / Pathology / Alien: Resurrection / The Skeleton Key / From Dusk Till Dawn / The Witches / The Craft

Number one in my heart forever, plus there is Drew Barrymore ♥ clic ♥ and other badass ladies.

#cheatnumberone thriller I saw this movie quite recently and i don’t think i’ve ever felt this anxious, you feel uncomfortable, like you can’t breath during the whole time. Very well written and acted, the psychology of the mother, the mother/child relationship, the disbelief of everyone else…

« You don’t look happy. »
Eva
« Have I ever? »
Kevin

#cheatnumbertwo thriller I discovered this movie because i fell in love with Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) from Gilmore Girls, so i’ve watched all the movies he’d played in. I’ve had a lot of good surprises, like Pathology. This movie is insanely good and creepy.

« Dr. Stravinsky, let’s take a look inside. »
Ted Grey

Did you know there is Tuco Salamanca from Breaking Bad in this one? And more badass women!

« I thought you were dead. »
Distephano
« Yeah, I get that a lot. »
Ripley

Voodoo vibes.

« Mexico. »
